Finished Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem. A fun game for fans of H P Lovecraft and puzzle-solving games. The big drawback of the game is the combat UI, which rewards for precise targeting but often doesn’t give you the camera angles you need to actually perform said targeting. The game does a really good job of providing the kind of dark ambience that the subject matter deserves; the spellcasting alone is worth watching. (And it’s very amusing to watch the viewpoint character wandering around with a big glowing mystic rune twirling above their head, surrounded by little glowing lights, and brandishing a lethal weapon dripping with eldritch energies, and no one seems to notice.)

The human animal is eminently capable of ignoring or rationalizing away that which does not fit its world view.

Is that the right "its"?

yes

Yes, that is the correct use of "its".

Apparently, according to the “Eternal Darkness” web site, I’m not old enough to play it:

Since I can’t log onto the web site, do you happen to know if there’s a PC or PS2 version? It does not appear so from the brief delve into the gameFAQ community.
