So I’ve had a .signature file kicking around for a while: “This episode of Sorcery Street was brought to you by the letter Ω, the number 13, and the element of Air.” A little while ago, I came up with a variation: “This episode of Sorcery Street was brought to you by the character Ch’i, the number 8, and the element of Wood.” And then I thought: what would this show be like, anyway?

You’d obviously need a bunch of muppets teaching various magical theories, including:

• Count Gematria (a vampire who’s very particular about learning the spelling of a person’s full name)
• Aleister the Beast (instead of Oscar the Grouch)
• Pentacle Monster (who wears entirely too much gaudy jewelry and sings about it)

What other features should the show have?

I can imagine Muppets that sing about safety when mixing ingredients and a playfully rampaging elemental that teaches kids to be careful what you summon.

In the Harry Potter universe, I would imagine that young witches and wizards in America would watch the show as well.
