I think the term “transmoral” is effective because distinct terms like “amoral” and “immoral” already exist. (“Postmoral” also occurred to me, but that one has a more obvious meaning.) One could use “transmoral” when discussing the rectitude of any number of interesting activities— anything from shadowrunning to polyamory.

Finding superlatives to describe the Madonna Inn is difficult; their design manages to go through tacky and come out the other side as its own unique aesthetic.

Actually, transtacky was what I was thinking of. Although, gaudy is another word that definitely comes to mind when I drive by the place.

Have you been inside yet? If so, be sure to visit the men’s room in the underground area. Amazing architecture. (It’s pretty common to have a guy duck in there, make sure that there’s no one using the facilities to be embarrassed, and then lead a group of women through to see how it’s set up.)
