Just dropped off weregamer at SJC— he’ll be protected from Denver weather by his new Alien Illusion scarf knitted by sistercoyote, which he was delighted to open at dinner last night— and spotted a really good idea: a cell phone waiting area where you can park for up to half an hour while waiting for a call from a friend escaping the baggage claim.

(Oh, speaking of knitting, sistercoyote, have you seen sweaters for penguins? roseembolism discovered that one...)

I'm guessing that's the Alien Illusion scarf featured in Stitch 'n Bitch: the Knitter's Handbook by Debbie Stoller. How many Alien Illusion scarves can there be? It's certainly the pattern in the book that interested me the most.

I love the Alien Illusion scarf--when I got into knitting earlier this year I managed to finish three out of the six aliens, and I wish I had the time and the motivation to finish the other three. It's a very cool scarf, but it's mocking me! (Plus when I started knitting I had three adult cats, one of whom loved to attack my knitting. Now I have two adult cats (neither of whom do) and three kittens. I'm afraid to start!)
