After I created the userpic on the left for cmccurry, I decided I need one for commenting on current events as well. But I’m having trouble deciding on a good caption, and kind of curious about the LJ polling mechanism...

I also considered using the language of weather forecasting— something like: “Today’s forecast: rampant idiocy with 80% chance of blithering.”— but there’s no way to fit that, readably, into a user pic.

Maybe not, but I have another idea. Get color coded stupidity alerts and broadcast them.

"The House Anti-Studpidity Department issued a Code Red: Rampant idiocy. People are advised to take cover in local libraries and read a book or two."

Hmmm... so we could have different alert levels:

• At condition Red, White, and Blue (Happy Bunny grinning on an American flag background), the country is in excellent shape with trustworthy leadership and a bright future. I can’t think of any time within my lifetime this condition would be set.
• At condition Green, Happy Bunny is grinning and commenting on business as usual.
• At condition Yellow, Happy Bunny is pointing out stupidity.
• At condition Orange, he’s holding his nose against the smell
• At condition Red, he has his ears covered to avoid hearing more inanity.

There’s also the prospect of putting him in a blue shirt with the Trek Classic badge, and numerous possible sayings...

• Stupidity: the Final Frontier.
• Captain, sensors read massive idiocy.

My boss just asked me what my socks (Happy Bunny) say. Fortunately she found the concept of my wearing little bunnies saying "Hi. Cram it." to be more amusing than disturbing.

If you have a graphic of Bunny just looking default happy, not doing anything with his hands, I'd like a "hi. cram it." icon, onegaishimasu!
